    Hats off to the 120Ti

I’ve been listening to a pair of 120ti speakers the last few weeks and all I can say is wow. I like almost everything about them, from top to bottom: high, mid and low. They are compact for a JBL 3-way, mirrored for great imaging, and look really sharp.

The crossover is well built too. A 2dB down adjustment on both the tweeter and midrange using a switch instead of an Lpad and nicer binding posts than typical.

    Thumbs up

That's a nice driver complement, for sure.

    I'm curious how they compare with the L100T - 035Ti, 104H-2, & 2214H.

One grade above, although some will probably disagree. The L100t3 was better then the L100T but I didn't like either better than the 120Ti.

    I'd agree with that.

I also always thought the JBL L80T was better balanced than the L100T. Sit a pair of L80Ts and 120Tis side by side, and it's amazing how ALIKE they sound. The 120Ti has a little tighter bass and the L80T goes a tad lower... other than that, you can throw a very small blanket over them, they're that alike. Best thing JBL made in consumer speakers, IMHO, other than the 250Ti...

    Regards,
    Gordon.
