With the C50's coming together, I decided to spend some time on an old MC240 I picked up from a guy who had it in his outdoor shed for years. From around 1962 and intact but very neglected as you can see from this picture.

Here is the after picture. I cleaned the insides with flux stripper and a brush. The outside was bead blasted and repainted. The MC240 emblem was hand polished.
I love the color. Reminds me of the old Sansui gear.
McSui?
Nice work!
It is actually a Ford truck dark red toreador paint. Painting allowed me to clean it up without totally disassembling the amp, which I would have had to install a new chrome chassis.
I still need to update the power supply but again simplier and cheaper than buying a collectors original version.
Awesome.
Thats a nice piece of work

Nice work. Is it a A/B or class A? Which tubes does it use?
That looks like tons of fun ..... I would love to build a Tube amp . I thought the Citation 11 would be fun !

Not having a power switch to me is a PITA. So, I moved the fuse inside the chassis and installed a vintage push button power switch in its place. I figured if the fuse blows you should open it up anyway. That and the switch looks like it came that way.
