    Was this worth the money?

I bought this stuff for $175.00 because I wanted the JBL L19's and the Rotel Cd player, think it was a good deal? The shipping was suppose to be $75.00 which I paid but now I just got an email saying that shipping is $150.00,what do you think? Aren't the L19's the same as the 4301B's that I have???Any opinion's will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jim

I'd probably ask him to ship the speakers and CD player, and keep the rest.

Exactly my thoughts. You can't give away those kenwood components (at least not after you pay shipping on them).

I found a stack of components at a local salvation army store for 99.00. Crappy lame ass sansui speakers, broken cheap turntable, ancient techniques cassette deck, and sweet yamaha silver face receiver with wood sides in good shape. I took the receiver adn told them to throw the other junk in the trash can behind the store. Nobody wants it and who needs it.

Like I said all I want is The JBL's and the Rotel cd player, I was thinking about offering the Kenwood setup to our closet members who continue to hide those bose speakers, this ought to run them pretty well after all they are a perfect match.

I've seen that same Rotel go on Ebay for close to $300.00 and what are the JBL L19's going for? I think it is a fair deal, and I'm sure I can find one of my friends to pawn the Kenwood setup on,after all I have 2 or 3 friends that swear by Kenwood. All is good. I do want a set of L300's but not ready yet,I have to bribe and bribe and bribe you know who.

He agreed that I could withdraw my bid, I think it was an honest mistake on his part,I could tell as much in his emails to me.If you think about though, I guess I was pretty nieve to think that all this stuff in this listing could have been shipped for $75.00 from Canada to my house.I figure the Rotel to be $300.00 and the L19's should be worth about 200.00 to 300.00,that leaves all the kenwood junk to pawn on one of my friends.Actually this wouldn't be a bad garage setup.

Wait a minute... Why is everybody dissing on Kenwood so badly? I don't know the vintage of that stuff, the pictures of it weren't too good. But I've seen some really well-built stuff from Kenwood. They produced some killer turntables back in the early 80's. The KD-750 comes to mind.
