Smile Welcome to the Rock Monitor Series

Let me be the first to point you to

    http://www.jbl.com/home/products/pro...at=MON&ser=MON

where you'll see the first (and so far the only) member of the Rock Monitor Series. It's a new addition to the consumer family.

In case it's a fluke and isn't supposed to be there, I've saved the page as a Web archive and grabbed a picture for your edification and enjoyment.

Did anyone know this was coming? :dont-know

    Post Description

Here's JBL's pithy description of this monitor's attributes:

    • Dual 3"-cone tweeters with high-temperature voice coils are protected from untrained, over-the-top performers (there’s one in every crowd) by a polyswitch that kicks in as needed

    • Left and right high-frequency room-adaptive trim controls

    • Protection circuitry prevents blown tweeters

    • MSRP: $499.00

Whoever came up with that masterpiece must've worked at Cerwin-Vega...or Bose.

Playing to an ever dumbed-down consumer. Happy 60th.

    dual tweeters

aren't dual tweeters, separated horizontally by more than a foot, a recipe for frequency cancellation?

But I do like the dual hi-frequency attenutaion controls, great if you're deaf in one ear!

I've seen that in my local JBL dealer. I don't think its a "serious" speaker. The dealer was using in for karaoke. I didn't have a chance to audition it. But it doesn;t look so great in up close.
