    Studio Monitors 4401, Decade L36. L56 ??

I am thinking about buying a set of bookshelf speaker (smaller) than my other stuff and was wondering what your opinions would be. On Ebay there are 3 sets that I am looking at

    1. Studio Monitors 4401
    2.Decade L36
    3. L56

Which would be the best pair? I am going to put these on my desk hooked to my Mcintosh with the Sovereign II's, I don't really care if there loud but I want them clear. Please let me know your recommendation's on these or your experience's. Thanks alot!

    If you're starting from scratch?

    18Ti, L20T, L20t3, or 4406

Considering swapping 4425's for only slightly smaller L36 or L56?

    Seek therapy immediately.

I trust you don't intend to play them WITH your Sovereigns in the same space?

I'm supposed to get rid of my 4425's?????

I have my 4311's hooked to my wide screen with a pair of Infinity sm155's, in my study I have the sovereign II'S hooked to my Mcintosh with the 4425's. I made a deal with my wife that if I got the Sov II'S I would get rid of the 4425's. I don't see any way out of this, so I figured I get a smaller pair, maybe it's just another excuse to buy something with a JBL tag on it.

Renegotiate over candlelit dinner out. You're not certain yet. It'll take several months to make the determination. Next summer, maybe....

I think the L20ts are excellent at low levels, I use them in my kitchen and bedroom. They are pretty readily available on Ebay as well. For example

Thesed need some cabinet work (maybe new boxes) but will probably be pretty cheap.

Hide them in the garage. Ask TI Dome for ideas. If all else fails put them behind the Soverigns.

That link you posted ROBH3606 just ended as I clicked on it. That would have been a nice set-up indeed and it went for cheap money. Thanks anyway
