    Keeping it Real

Being a new member here I find it refreshing that ya'll desire to keep speakers in original condition . I have been collecting vintage gear for about 6 yars now and have always felt this way about all of it. I more recently have started to repair some of the speakers that have needed it. Other enthusiasts I encounter just want to get it going and upgrade if possible.I am proud to be here and look forward to further interaction. Thanks to all for the seemingly endless information already contained on this site.

That looks more like a rack to me. This should raise a few hairs. Hope there is room for humor around here. The only thing that I own with horns:

    Seriously now!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have my prized possesion MAC 1900 a variety of Pioneer SX recievers, a couple of Sansui G's, two H/K Citation 19 amps w/ Carver pre-amp, a couple of tube amps from a Conn organ w/ a Dynakit PAS-2 pre-amp and many otherwise run of the mill speakers. Do you want to see pics of it all? Like I said in my signature I'd like to find a pair of JBL's or Altecs with horns (of the transducer variety) Probably gonna start selling off some stuff to fund that endevour. Here is a couple of pics the first is basically my main setup but lately a bit different (it is always changing) The second is my Pioneer rack which has also changed since the pic was taken. Thanks for the interest and listening.

    Thumbs down Horns?

Horns are like a woman with a big rack (i.e., implants): they look appealing, and you're sure they'll make you happy, and they're so much more than the non-artifical equivalent but in the end, they're cold and stiff, harsh, self-promoting, and always in your face.

The future is here now in the EOS Waveguide : subtle, warm, sensitive, intimate, yet capable of stunning stimulation and rousing climaxes.
    Out.

    Thumbs up Oh yes!

    Welcome Jason.

    Hope you enjoy it here.

You will learn a lot, but we do like to have fun, too.

However, I'm dead serious about the horns.
    Out.

Tell me more. Do they look (or more importantly sound) like these?

Bo, That is a rack of my own making as well as the one in the main setup. Let me shamelessly elude to my new post in the General forum (was a bit off topic in this thread) http://audioheritage.org/vbulletin/s...ead.php?t=7855

Yea, well it is pretty nice looking.

Soon's my 18RU shockmounted road case arrives from Rock Hard, and I get things stuffed all cozy in there, I post a pic - merely to engender rack lust. Er, of a different kind, BooBoo...

Nothing like giving a non-biased opinion, huh? Of course we know that opinions are not always factual....
