    Question Marantz 2000 help

I picked up a SR 2000, and I believe the left channel may be gone. Can anyone let me know how to test for this problem? I have tried channel 1 and 2 and still no sound . Is this worth repairing?
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry your reciever/amp is having troubles. This is a mostly JBL oriented site (you wouldn't think so from some of the posts, but it really is!). Your best bet would be AudioKarma.Org and go the Discussion Forums and then select the vintage forum.

    Best of luck!

I don't mean to offend you, but that model is a real crapper. The fee to just diagnois the problem on the bench for exceeds the value. That model came out when Marantz was at their worse. These are one of those models that everyone that was familiar with it agrees that Marantz really went cheap. Again don't get mad, do the research and you will find that many if not all agree with me. A working model is worth about $25.
