Nice job on the dome. too funny what kids do eh. Sorta. Kinda cute actually. You'll fix them and then you'll laugh with your buddy.
Show the now grown kids where their toys went. They might remember those items. Now you can display them on top when they are done.

I know that this is not the appropriate thread for this, but I've already started—and I gave up searching for answers!

The LE20-1s are trashed. Smashed dome on one and destroyed cone and dome on the other. I purchased some used ones a long time ago. Now I have to find them and hope they aren't LE25s. My question is about the aluminum ring on the LE20-1 versus the foam ring on the LE25. Was there any purpose to the aluminum other than to cover the screws? Is there an audible advantage to the foam, even if incorrect for the vintage? Cheers.

UPDATE: Found my spares in the box in which they were sent in September of 2016. Great shape. Scary how much these go for today!

". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

Cool project... you need to get a display case for the artifacts found inside during the restoration.

The way l’m travelling it’s like my first JBL encounter “Back to the Future”.

I am find bits and pieces l have not laid eyes on for years!
Bought lot of drivers or horns in the lockdown l have not looked at yet. Some newish stuff too.
It was a good idea at the time…Lol

Perhaps we should now call this thread your JBL resurrection or something?
