JBL has no intentions of ever running any LE10A kits again. They are history.
JBL will run a new batch of LE14A kits when backorders reach critical mass.

Since were talking about the LE10A. What is the difference between it and a LE10H-1
They are serious as a heart attack as of FEB 2005.Originally Posted by Mr. Widget

The LE10H/LE10H-1/LE111H has heavier moving mass, higher Bl factor, greater power handling capacity, stiffer suspension, slightly higher efficiency, slightly higher free air resonance, lower compliance, lower distortion due to the SFG ferrite motor, basically just a nice evolution of the design. The old LE111A was similar to the 124A/2203A in that it had a motor that was rediculously powerful.Originally Posted by John
Giskard, what do the kits consist of, and do you have any idea of their cost?
Cone/coil/spider/surround assembly, black trim ring, clear plastic spacer, dust dome, recone glue.
http://www.speakerrepair.com/ocsrepairprice.html looks like $186 each (parts and labor).
Hello
If anyone is interested I have a pair of new old stock
JBL LE10 kits The foam is in perfect condition.
Let me know

Wow! Those prices are steep. But probably in line with the scarcity of the parts...Originally Posted by Giskard

Giskard,
How do we add to the LE14A backlog? I have 2 needing kits.
had L25,L36,L40,L120,L300,AquariusIV(2),S1,4408 have L65,L100,L222,DorianS12,B380
I think I'd be interested in a couple of LE14A kits too, if for no other reason than as insurance. I know mine won't last forever, but then again, neither will I.
How many requests do they need to produce? And, how can we insure that we will be able to get a piece of the action?
Are y'all weighing the pros and cons of reconing to LE14H-1 instead?
You can take the drivers into a Service Center and they will order the kits. Or you can send the drivers to JBL for reconing.Originally Posted by Donald

- what's that leave for available 10" ( le10xx type ) recone kits ? ( I am a little lost here )
