    JBL Equalizer SPP-SWEQ Power Supply

I got a PM from a fellow member looking for the power supply for this EQ.

It's very unconventional it has a 6 pin output plug very much in line with a older analog phone or Ethernet but with 6 conductors.

Attached are photo's that show part number and pin out for the connection cord.

Any pictures of the plug or jack?
Does it just look like a conventional RJ but with six-conductors?
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

Exactly and he has the EQ so he can see the plug receptacle. Analog phone, Ethernet I would say RJ12 6 conductor. If he has an analog phone/landline he can verify it. They used various power supply modules to feed the Synthesis racks so there are other options if you can find a stand alone power supply module.

    Rob,

JBL didn't make those // someone else OEMed them for JBL ( either BiAmp Systems or Rane )

Research the Rane MQ-15 Stereo EQ.

    Here's one ( a pic ) now from Reverb.

( PS ), Specs seem identical

    Hello Earl

Oh good I knew Rane made them didn't know they used the same or similar power supply input. That should make finding one much easier!

Replacements on Amazon many used around as well

    Well done Earl!

Rane MQ-15, JBL SPP-SWEQ Power Supply

I saw your replies this morning and searched online for a RANE power supply as I could find nothing for the JBL SPP-SWEQ.I just purchased this: (https://reverb.com/item/65477662-rep...30-more-fx-rs1), from Reverb. It was a better solution than attempting to cobble one up from random parts scattered in various boxes around my shop or risking another purchase from eBay.(I did find the same item on Amazon, but the one from Reverb had free shipping). Thanks for all of the input and suggestions,pk

JBL Equalizer SPP-SWEQ Power Supply search...

During my search for a power supply, I found this link to the Rane MQ-15 manual: (https://www.ranecommercial.com/legac.../mq1530man.pdf). Also, a link to the data sheet for the Rane RS-1 power supply: (https://www.ranecommercial.com/legac...old/rs1dat.pdf). Working backwards I also found the Rane link to its discontinued product: (https://www.ranecommercial.com/legacy.php#p7GPc1_1). Some of this information may be useful to others. My JBL Equalizer SPP-SWEQ just arrived on my front porch. Now I just need to wait for the Rane power supply to show up to try it out. It will join another vintage JBL product: (JBL BASS-Q). (Here is a picture of the electronics stack for my rear speakers in my older system). Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction to find that power supply.pk

    Your Welcome!

How does the Bass Q work for you??? I see 4 microphone inputs and different curves available.
