Why would my Altec 417B 12" Guitar Speakers have the same Serial number?

Pulled these out because I'm on the fence about selling them. These were my brother's speakers from the late 1960s. I know a brief amount of history about these models but noticed something odd when I de-boxed them. They both have the same serial number? Was this common for Altec in the 1960s when they built speakers going into the same cabinets, or is this a fluke? Thanks

I am not an Altec expert, but I bet that is a part number for the frame and not a serial number.

I believe you're right, thanks. Based on information here at LH, can I assume these are EIA numbers and that they were built in the 33rd week of 1968 then? (391833)
