    4313B veneer clean up suggestion?

I bought a used pair of 4313Bs for my sister probably thirty years ago and now she wants to clear them out to make room for more plants. I know, priorities right? In any case she's been putting plants on them for years and they not surprisingly have water stains on them. Furniture is not my thing, black plywood boxes are my limit. Does anyone have suggestions for how best to clean them up before I advertise them?

Well ( not my whell-house either but ), I do know that there are a ton of good wood restoration artists over at AudioKarma. ( "oxalic acid", "bar-tenders friend", are just some of the go-to products mentioned ).

In some households there's a rule about such things: If it has a flat top, it's a plant stand.

    My two cents.

I have gone the wood bleach restoration path and it takes patience skill and dedication to get the results you probably want. I think it might be easier to lightly sand them and then stain the speakers a darker tone than they were originally and then apply an oil finish. I bet you can make them look pretty respectable.
