    Interesting ( to me ) is that the scans from the glossy paper issues ( 1 - 7 ) have less over-contrast problems ( than the plain-paper publications of No.8 + No.9 ) .

    Earl,

Thanks you for following up and taking the time to scan and post these PRO-NOTE publications for all of us to enjoy here in the forum.
Some really great nostalgia contained in these vintage internal/dealer publications. I love the cartoons that are included on the pages. And I want to know where I can get an official factory JBL SLIDE RULE!

You're welcome guys! I was happy that my WinXP era printer//scanner actually worked with Win10 ( even though it kept insisting there was a USB based connection problem )

Yeh, that JBL slide-rule is pretty cool. Anyone else notice there's some long-haired dude ( attending one of the conferences pictured ) that looks a lot like John Meyer did ( back in the day ).

PS; Thanks Rob for the sticky status.

    Yes, thanks Earl!

I have a couple of them somewhere myself... the analog archives.
Always fun to take a quick spin down memory lane.

I used to have these, I wonder if this is the JBL slide rule? I sold them on eBay for $40.00.

Thank you Mr Earl K for sharing these documents.
Now I have the answer to this old question: does a 2470 with a D16R2420 become a 2420?

    Great stuff posted!
I used the 4550 bins, 4560s, double scoops, and JBL 2441 drivers on 60 and 90 degree horns into the 80s! I can't even imagine, carrying those around now.
Looking thru the notes, I used a lot of that old stuff. Those super long throw JBL horns sat in our warehouse waiting for an outdoor show that never came.
