    4312A clones.

    Hi all.

    I have plans to build 4312A clones.
    I have a comlete setup of 035ti tweeters, 104h-2 midranges and 2213H woofers.

    I need to know dimensions of the enclosures and the port tubes.

    All info would be most appreciated.

    Best regards John.

    4312A clone

    Hi John,

    Happy new year 🎈🎆🧨🎉

    I just made a drawing with Excel, all dimensions are in millimeters.

    Here is the front side :

    The back side :

    And the top view of AB cut :

    I cant measure the thickness of the walls ...
    The inside diameter of the port is about 70.8 mm but it is impossible to measure it because it is an angled port 😥 .

    I hope it will help you,
    Best regards from France,
    Pascal

    Thank you Pascal.

    This will help me alot.

    Are the measurements from your 4312 Mk 2? I used to have a pair of the Mk 2´s that is why i am doing this project.

    I have another question. I would be happy if you could provide the measures 1- 10 on my picture.

    Hi John,
    Here are my measurements in millimeters:
    1 = 133 for the midrange speaker that is roughly a square
    2 = 72 the diameter of the hole is 75
    3 = 127
    4 = 77 from the inner side of the right wall to the center of the left potentiometer knob
    5 = 32 from the inner side of the right wall to the center of the right potentiometer knob
    6 =29 from the inner side of the upper wall to the center of the potentiometer knobs
    7 = 30 for the midrange speaker that is roughly a square
    8 = 122
    9 = 20 for the tweeter
    10 = 20
    Don't forget that the front walls are mirrored !
    For the tube port, according to the JBL Component Exploded View, the part number is 52211 and it seems to be symetrical so I will try to make a drawing with the supposed dimensions.
    Rgds,

    4312A clones

    Are you going to use a crossover similar to the original or something like the 4412?

    I have not thought about that. Was planning to do according to original spec.
    How will the 2213H woofer work with the 4412 filters? Mids and Highs are the same in both models.

    Project has been on hold because i got hold on a pair of 4312MkII's i have been enjoying.
    I am now starting to look at this project again because i have the drivers needed.

    /John.
