How to determine proper JBL phase

    Hi.

I have several woofer units from few manufacturers.

Recently, I connected these woofer units after checking using 9V battery using the same phase alignment.

But in the case of JBL, I heard that the phase was opposite,

and when I checked the manual, the product I was using was included.

So how do I get the phase to be the same?

whatever terminal causes the cone to move outward, connect to the red terminal of the amp. Older JBL was the black. Newer JBL is the red. Use the battery to show which is correct for your model.

    True enough.

Or not if you want absolute phase and your preamp or amp is an inverting design. At the end of the day, it really only matters relative to other speakers operating in the same acoustic space and then you should verify on a case by case basis.
