Just me, or has the responsiveness of the forum degraded significantly the last few days?
Happy that it's still here at all, but has been atypically dog-slow recently... at least via my home environment
(where other access has been fine).

I haven’t noticed it today, but on several occasions lately loading threads with many photos seems to take quite awhile.

With so many people in lockdown there will be greater usage of interweb , it's like a traffic jam.
Fair enough, but that doesn't explain why -only- the site is slow, unless the hosting facility is bandwidth swamped.
Thought there might be something our wonderful hosts might need to be aware of,
given this isn't their day job and might have bigger concerns at the moment.
Again, not complaining... just concerned and providing a "heads-up".
LHS is slow here too.
ProSoundWeb and DIYAudio are running normally for me.

If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
It has been painfully slow for a few days. I didn’t want to pester our web hosts, but I’ll reach out to them to see if they can reboot a server or something.

I didn't want to be "that guy"—again—but it's been real slow for about a week or more. Still works, so there's that.
Thanks to those who just keep it working.
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers
It looks like it is getting slower by the day
Is there a problem with the database?
From France, asking for new posts in a thread took a whopping 40 seconds: 10 seconds for the redirection to the correct URL with post count, then 25 seconds to get the first chunk of the final page, and an additional 5 seconds to fully load it.
Working well here.
Any idea what happened?
Thank you!
Barry.

Agree with Grumpy. Took me 30 minutes to load this thread and post a reply. Reminds me of the dial-up days! :-)
“Dial-up” tell us youngsters about those dark days.
This morning I experienced slow response, but right now it is back to normal.

No joke. Took 8 minutes to get a complete response editor screen.
Must be a special moderator QoS feature
Just the entry/home page took over a minute. One level down, over 2m.
Tried clearing cache, different browsers, different platforms, unplugging then plugging it back in, ...
Has the feeling of partial DoS or over-allocation throttling (or yes, dial-up).
