I got an email about this the other day - very interesting. First high end subwoofer I've seen with a ferrite magnet shaped as a slug and inside the VC, AlNiCo style. I do remember JL Audio does something weird with their in-wall subwoofer, though, so this may not be the first. At $1999 factory direct, not too pricey, either, considering this would be $5k if it said Revel on the front.
