change a LE14H-4 to a 1400nd in S4600?

Hey all,

would there be any benefit to change the LE14H-4 in my S4600 to a 1400nd? Would it be plug+play?

or am I just caught in change for the sake of change

Just off the top of my head, I believe the 1400nd is more efficient so you'd need to modify the crossover; likely for other reasons too.

I am pretty sure that the woofers are significantly different including size. Not a drop in physically.

I've been planing to try both my 1401ND and LE1400 instead of my LE14-1, but haven't done it yet... I thought they all had aprox the same pysically Dimensions, but LE14-4 might have slightly larger diameter than the older ones?

I also didn't think that 1400ND had much higher efficency than LE14-4, both around 92db/1w but I might be wrong?
