Seeking help with Pro Jbl HT

I have be thinking this out for some time and decided on useing the following components.
JBL 2344a's with 2425's and a 2204. They are all 8 ohm. I have 7 of each and will be doing a 7.1.
I have looked and read but am still undecided on cabinet size and crossovers. My room is 20'x31'
and is acoustically treated with panels built into the walls and ceiling. I was thinking of crossing over at 1200hz. Can anyone please recommend cabinet size that would work best for my goal. I will have to buy crossovers for I do not have the knowledge to build them so if you could point me in the right direction to buy the crossovers, that would be great.
    Thanks all

Not sure about the box but your crossovers will require CD compensation (eq) for the horn. It could get expensive building 7 of them. How many amps do you have lying around? Maybe consider digital active DSP>

I have more than enough amps. I do have a few DBX crossovers but I would like to keep it simple with a passive crossovers. My original idea was to use the 4648a as my LR and another on its side with only one 2226, then cover the second space for the other 2226 with plywood than mount a horn in that space. But after doing some reading, this might not be a good way to go. So I'm back to my original idea of the 7 12"'s and 2344 horn

This should help you get started http://www.jblproservice.com/pdf/Sou...ies/I725AP.pdf if you allow the 2206 to be approx the same as 2204.

If you have a hunt around the system archives here http://www.jblproservice.com/NAVIGAT..._nav_tech.html
you may find other suitable networks that would offer a basis for your plans. Some tweaking may be required.

For example the Hi Pass section of the 4430 network , http://www.jblproservice.com/pdf/Stu...ies/4430LR.pdf

Notice that the PA boxes have higher crossover points , mainly to lessen the duty of the HF unit

    From 2206HPL notes

The 2206H/J can directly retrofit the 2204H transducer
without enclosure re-tuning while providing up to 2.5 dB
more acoustic output with lower levels of distortion and
    smoother response

Somewhere in the 2 cu / ft region is useable for the box

Interesting that the ports in your first link are incorporated into the 2344a horn.

why did I not think of searching the 2206. That would have saved me a lot of time.
thank you for helping out for I know just enough to be dangerous. Did notice also the your first link did show the 2344 ported out the back of the horn but mine are not. The JBL enclosure guide also states 2cu.
I have a feeling that the cabinet build for this project will be the simpler part of it. Crossovers are going to be difficult for me. I do have two 3120a's, I guess that's a start. Anymore information would be highly thankful

Just do ports in the normal way , they are not all that big anyway.

You are stuck with the needs of the 2344 throat in the x/o , however the parts for that are not huge ( like bass coils ) so I woild just start making a list of the components you need and start pricing them. Parts express is a good place to start.

I'm assuming that your 2420 drivers are a straight swap for the spec'd 2426. It will not be exactly the same .

Others better versed in the black arts of x/o may chime in with a better option .

As I recall Zilch worked on the 2344 option early in the Econowave project , finding it will be the problem , it's a huge thread.

Here's another one to look at http://www.jblproservice.com/pdf/Sou...ries/4726A.pdf

It has a 2426J HF unit so some mods would be needed as you 2420 will be 8 ohm
