    2446 on 2397 any good ?

    Hello,

I`m wondering if a 2446 with itīs coherent phase plug will mate very well with the old style 2397 horn and 2328 adapter ?

The 2397 and 2328 come from the 2440 and 2445 decade I believe and therefor these should make a good match.
But does the more modern 2446 work as good as the older drivers with this horn-combo?

    Thanks a lot,
    Olaf

Agreed, there should be no down side to it.

800€ is very expensive. Go for second hand instead.

Silly question, what is the price difference for the 2450? I love them not only for the weight reduction but they willl fit where ever an AlNiCo motor was like a 375/244X. The 2446 and 2450 use the same diaphragm.

    Just wonderin'.

Yeah that hurts. I didn't know if there was less of a split by the time they traveled around the world being smaller and lighter and all.
