    HELP about JBL 2450

    Hello
I've got a pair of 2450, but I would like to dismantle them but I don't know how to remove the phase plug. I need to remove the phase plug because the air gap is full of rust. Is it possible the remove the phase plug ?

On on the binding post is broken, do you know where to find some JBL binding post ?

    Thanx a lot

    plug

they are cemented in place and carefully aligned at the factory.

that much rust is fatal - not worth repairing anymore.

I'm not sure if you can de-mag a neodymium driver and recharge it afterwards but this sounds like the only option to me.

No, the rust is not so important, but I would have prefer to remove the phase plug, but if it's not possible I will clean it on site.

I'm not amrican and I don't understand the american screw dimensions, I would like to buy some diaphragm screw but what are the dimension, it is UNF or UNC ? N°6 ?

    Thanx
