Nice to hear that someone actually have bought these!

Very curious how they compare to 2242/2258 since I'm planning replacing my 2242/2258 in 4645 With 2269h.

I like 2242/2258 very much but they lack a little below 30hz even when the 4645 cabinets is retuned to aprox 20hz so that's mainly what I'm looking for With the 2269... more output below 30hz

I found a 5749 on ebay local to me. I paid $450 for it. It's a monster! I also use a 2245 and AE TD18H+ (each in ported 8 cu ft boxes)!

    2256G vs 2269G/H

I like to know which woofer works better under 30Hz?

2256G were used in Vertec 4881 and go down to 22Hz -3 db
2269G/H are used in later version 4881A and go down to 32Hz -3 db

Great deal! I'd say that qualifies as a "big-ass sub".

    May be can help
As 2256 is 3-inch VC, and 15-inch cone type, I would expect that under the same acoustic level that it would produce more distortions then 2269.

    regards

Is the cone heavier in the Revel rhythm2 sub than a standard 2269h ? Or is it something complete different ?

They spent several years developing it... I don't know all of the differences, but the Revel driver is unique with an aluminum cone and other changes.
