Though I've talked a bit about them with Dave in another string here on LH, maybe I'll put up a new one on these. Perhaps a copy/pasta and some edits from another forum that I've written about them.
Hadn't done so yet since I didn't think the Everest, M2, K2, 43xx, etc. JBL cognoscenti would be much interested in slumming with my boxen of Chinese plastic, but hey, might be good to see what The Great Unwashed is up to, hmm? Pitchforks & torches and all that...
BTW Dave - grats on your audio club!
I suppose you can, but I would start your own thread just for the simple fact that more will see it and easier to find.
Sure, why not? I find it interesting to see what's going down in the lower lines. And actually, JBL considers the 500 series as part of Synthesis.

Thanks for the congrats on the audio club! It's come a long way since that hot sunny afternoon of August 2013.

Yeah I've seen them listed on the Synthesis pages. I call them the poor man's Array.

I would hope no Klipsches this time!
anyone interested in carpooling from the roughly "Los Angeles" area?

Don't forget the 4350's still have the 2440-2311-2308 driver horn lense assemblies in them. That is definitely a weakness. Widget's Everests sound far better over all.
It was a major awakening to replace the 15's and 12's with the Al's and Fe's and being four way active allows for serious tailoring of the sound, especially the bottom. I have stated before that the Auto Warmth feature in the DBX 4800 is itself worth the price of admission. It's all a system. And I love it!
The meeting is going to be fun! The 4350's are not going to be there though.
Barry.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
