    2450SL-8 with 2332 Horn

I have an opportunity last weekend to measure some 2450SL-8 drivers with 2332 Horns. Most of the data that I have get were expectable, except the horizontal dispersion. There are some differences ( about 2dB) in the response around 10kHz between the drivers too.

    Ivica,

Did you acctually test your filter suggestion or only computer model it?

    Best regards

    Hi sebackman,

That is only computer model incorporating measured driver response
I would suggest you to measure both drivers, as I have not so good "pairing" of mine 2450SL
as you can seen on attached figure. On about 10kHz the difference is about 2.5dB, and the slope at HF region is different too,
so I have to make different networks in order to EQ them to become compatible up to 12~14kHz
    Possible solutions is attached

    Regards Ivica

    Hi

    Thank you for the info.

Mine (2450SL/2332) are both very close to original JBL curve. Would it be possible to tweak network to the DMS-1 curve and maybe simplify ? (see link below.)

I will use 2206 below and 2405 above.

    Thank you

    Hi Paul,

Yes I did, but I went with digital active XO's. I have toyed arround with digital filters a few years and it is much easier to tune them, than analog filters. -At least for me :-). I used old JBL SR4722X cabinets which I rebuilt to accept 2450SL/2332 horn. No 077 is needed in my application with the digital XO's.

I use dual 2226 subs below the 2206's.

    Sound very nice.

    Best regards
