1: I called speaker exchange today to find out what revision crossover they are selling and they were out of stock, but they do have more of the waveguides, so if you didn't have a chance to order here it is. If anyone has a clue what capacitor value is used opposite the 3.3uf show inside Valentin's M2's (thanks again!) http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...l=1#post375538 or ones purchased for your project that would be great. Since the schematic total capacitance adds up to 38uf I assume it's around 34-35uf when using the 3.3uf. Logic tells me this could be correct due to the larger size in Valentin's compared to the ones on speaker exchange, but that may not be the case.

2: Does anyone have concerns with me using a 3D print out of some of the horn adaptors? The material used would be a Tungsten 3D Printing Filament. The driver is only 6 pounds but it's still 6 pounds just hanging there.

    Thanks!

About the 1201 3-way mentioned, What potential benefit do you see in this arrangement? (I also own a pair of TM - 1201's)

I think that could be very cool, with that futuristic shape.
I was thinking neon green to go with the color of my hair.

If that's what were doing mine would have to be invisible.

If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

I would have to compare to be sure
The 2216nd is a really good match for the M2 waveguide, but I would expect the TM1201 to be cleaner in its range (say 200-800Hz) with almost no breakup, and lower distortion if used with current drive (I found this particular driver was perfect for current drive with distortion figures that almost vanish, and its low Qms makes it easy to deal with).

If I want to be able to do this comparison, then the original configuration for the horn is the best one to keep the waveguide/mid distance short.

It might be interesting to build a vestigial horn (ā la genelec 1038) around the 12" to make it react like a 15" driver around 800Hz both in term of directivity (with less narrowing above 800Hz as a bonus) and geometrical/time alignment.

    Hi ivica
This configuration implies a crossover at around 200Hz.
So in the end it would be something like:
    20Hz-200Hz : 2216nd
    200Hz-800Hz: TM1201H sealed
    800Hz-20kHz: M2 waveguide

    Hi POS,

Hmmmm, I would not expect large benefit using here 1201, may be 1201 with 1801 would be much 'understand-able' configuration ??
