have someone compare W1500h and 2256g for hifi sub?
I am talking about sound quality and power
I am looking for sub with my 1200fe, 2450SL and 045be

The 2256G is identical to the W15GTI (the W15GTI is said to be 3ohms, but it has the exact same Re as the 2256G, as well as more than similar T/S parameters)
I don't think it will match a W1500H for hifi use (for one thing, I don't think the W15GTI has shorting rings), but it will play louder and has more excursion capability for sure.
more info about the W1500H can be found here:

What horn are you using with your 2450SL?
I am using Array1400 horn with 2450SL and 045be
you should try the truextent diaphragms:
http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...s-measurements
I use them in 2450SL cores on H9800 horns, and these diaphragms are a clear improvement over the Ti SL ones.
I don't feel the need for supertweeters right now (albeit I have not tried 045Be )
thanks Pos for the information about the W1500H and truextent dias
but I were glad to here from someone some have try both 2256g (W15GTI) and W1500H
and know the different between this woofers in sound
I have use 2256g and know how they sound in VT4881 box but I have newer use W1500H
I think at they sound similar like SUB1500 but with larger magnet and spider
how much dues W1500H weigh?
I know this thread is old.... But I´m currently thinking of getting some W15GTi....
I´m little confused, the specs say it is nominal 6ohms, not 3ohm.
Re is 2,9ohm thoug...
It is pretty difficult to match this woofer with hifi-amplifiers... Most of them are just 4ohm stable, put connecting the coils parallel will result in 3ohms or less
Connecting the coils in series would be 12ohms, so no power there.
I´d like to use a GTi per side, but just one amp for both....
