    Altec Network Capacitor Help!

Hi all, I have a set of N800E, I opened it up and scraped out the potting tar. I want to replace the capacitors in unit. There is a white cardboard box that says ELPAC 2 x 10.5/150V. What capacitor type would be a good one to use in place of this double one? There is no board to mount it on, it is all self contained. Also, is there a way I can test to see what Mh the air inductors are? They have no markings and I have no specs on this unit.

    Thank you in advance

Parts Express doesn't have a 10.5 cap, would this be a suitable replacement?

It is a 12.0uf instead, or should I go with the 10.0uf? and how would 1 out weigh the other?

    Thank you again

    Keep values close If Possible

I would go with the 10.uF and try to keep values as close as possible. You need a LCR meter to check Inductance and one with capacitance as well to check your caps.

Something like this you can find them pretty cheaply but cheap is cheap.Quality not as good for a low cost model.

Thank you Altec Best for the Information. Got some info on another forum that I could use a 4.3uf and a 6.2uf in parallel to get the 10.5uf I need. I am thinking of keeping these original and just build duplicate XO's in it's place, I'm just trying to figure out the inductors values and find any resistors inside the unit. I haven't been able to track down the schematic for these, only the N-800F, which is not the same. I have a Cap meter to check the caps but I will have to get an LCR as stated.

Thank you for your help and the link!
