grill pegs?

i am restoring a pair of alpha ones and the grill pegs are bad. they are made of spring steel and i can't figure out how to remove them, six were broken when i purchased the pair. can they be purchased now or is there an equivilent? thank's , john

broke down and made some out of a hardwood dowel. chucked them in my drill press and filed them to fit. i'll see how long they last
