    L300 SUMMIT inside wool

    Hail

I've jut bought a pair of L300. I'm pretty happy with them but they've just got a lillte probleme, the inside mineral wool now falls to dust. I don't know what to use, I don't want to change the sound of those speakers but I would like to install something less aggressive for my breast. So have you got any experience about changing the mineral wool ?

Thanx a lot and sorry for my english, but I'm french.....sorry too

    BaH !

Lambs wool is denser than fibre glass ..... I would stick to fibre glass .... You can spray a fine coat of acrylic laquer over the fibre glass to bind the top . You will gain another 20 - 30 years from your efforts .

Pics are always welcome sir .....

    yep !

    Andychris,

thats horrible stuff when it gets to that age . I would grab a dust mask and replace it . Then seal it the way I suggested .

Pics of the speaker would be nice for the archive too
