    Angry Ghost in the Machine

I have the HT/#3 audio system in the bedroom.....abt 11:30 PM , a bright blue light appeared across the room, not aliens, just my Carver CD was lit up displaying "disk".

got up and went over to shut it off, as that much light in a dark room is annoying...It wouldn't shut OFF ....no matter what position the power switch, it stayed ON.

so I put a piece of paper across it, muting the blue and went back to sleep, knowing that this morning I'd have to get up and screw around with it.

this morning it was OFF and back to normal....

did Bob die or have a stroke last night ?

Sounds like a typical Carver Product.

OMIGOSH! The Ghost in the (E) machine got me bad! YEESH!

About two years ago, the front panel of my Emachines PC became loose, so I removed it. Ostensibly so I could repair it later on. Right.
BUT... the small "ultrabright", blue LED "ON" indicator was left dangling (menacingly?) from within the computer's case.

At the far end of my workbench / computer center / music playback station, sat a box of shop towels, and over that I had thrown some new black visquine plastic sheeting. The shiny plastic was VERY reflective, in the weirdest sort of way.

In the dim lighting of the room, when I hit the "boot" button on the PC, the LED illuminated only the ripples and creases in the plastic. And it illumated them in an intense and most creepy manner.

I had no idea WTF was happening. That was quite disorienting, and real, real spooky.

'Twas The Ghost in the (E)machine come calling.

Or maybe I was O.D.ing from too much Art Bell Show on the radio.

I’ve seen that before once (switched off) it produced a faint glow in the dark. It must be the gases inside the TV that produces the image.
