Thanks for the kudos guys. It is a lot of work but I like taking something that many would toss out as trash (present company excluded) and bringing it back to it's original glory. Not to mention, now having a pair of premo JBL speakers to listen to. I love the little L26. They really appeal to my hearing. Those tweeters are very open and forward. I like it!

Nice project! That was my 1st set of JBLs and I still remember that woofer bouncing in and out keeping up with the pioneer sx-1250. It truly is amazing just how thin the veneers are on these. Especialy if your the second finisher on a set!

Reminds me of a Guy that used to build Paragons from a pile of wood using only a Belt sander.
When asked how he did it, he replied: " It is easy. I just start at the left and remove anything that doesn't look like a Paragon"

That is a great job you did restoring those worthy little guys! Beautiful work on all sides. I noticed you used the 3M Blue tape to mask off the terminals and areas you didn't want paint or finish on. That tape has just the 'right' amount of stickiness to it and doesn't pull up, what it's stuck to. Great work!
yes its a very nice work! on a nice set of speakers. i´ve been thinking i would do something like this with my banged/scratchedup 4311:s they are really in bad condition! drivers work perfectly tough!

maybe they will get some of bo:s jbl blue on the baffels allso! i´ve seen some newer 4312:s have it!
hey ward! i think u should put allothis up as a step by step thread! it would be very useful for many ppl!
