Finally...Something to do with those old L300s

Gutting them to store DVDs? Well, maybe not. http://unclutterer.com/2008/07/03/ma...-into-storage/

Somebody copied my idea! That's what I do with all the 250Ti's and B460's I find in yard and estate sales. You should see how many books they hold!!! The only problem is I have to haul all those giant woofers to the scrap metal recycle section of the landfill which is a pain.

I find it improves the sound on my 250s, better than fiberglass stuffing. I actually like the idea however my living room has a large 7.2 system aleady dominating the room, where would I put an add''l speaker?

I do like the idea for storage, in another room maybe, something some 901 would be good for except I would be too embarrased to even have the cabinets in my house

Changing to Legacy Audio and started with a Silver Screen HD for my center between the 250TIs

I actually did this years ago. I took the front baffle off and cannibalized the other speaker so that I could put a couple of matching shelves inside and I used the speaker as a bookcase. I used it for years... finally tossed it (them), about three years ago.

The speaker started out life as a DIY L300, then was a dual 12" sub, then a bookcase, then landfill... veneered particle board wasn't very good firewood or I suppose it might have had another end.
