    Wink 817a and horns.

    Hi,
    this is my 1st post. I have 2 817a boxes loaded with 4 8 ohm 515's and 2 8 ohm 902's for hf drivers
my question is what do i do for Horns. All I have is 511's and I don't think they are right.
    also
I was thinking of using a 1285 crossover.

what do you think? thank rc

The 511 horns would be perfectly fine. The 1285 crossover has switchable frequency and was designed for general PA use, and I've heard it said that it is less refined in any one application than crossovers dedicated to a certain frequency, but I couldn't say from my own personal experience. But it'll do to begin with.

    Cool 817's full sized sound...

Would these be for general PA use or something else...
What series 515's are loaded A-G...

Going to the MR94 or MR64 's would be cool...
but also require the larger format drivers....

but there are other horns depending on your application

    • Vintage sound large format 2 or 3 way for hifi...
    • Home theater behind screen....
    • Party PA outside in open space....
