Listen to track B2 "Sentimental Journey". A world wide hit in 1959. Vocals by a film star: Doris Day!
So now it's high time to put away all those heartwarming Christmas albums and to start into this 2016 Christmas weekend with some feetwarming 50ies swing.
Good german pressing.

Orange is a beautiful town in the south of France.
Recorded at Condorcet studio, Toulouse, November 30th, 1971.
Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, guitar.
A discovery. Every track of this one is a winner.
Buy every vinyl LP of French Black&Blue label!

Double album of the complete work of Love Sculpture and Dave Edmunds.
There is a Lovin' LP and a Rockin' LP. The rockin' sides C and D are by Dave Edmunds.
The lovin' sides A and B are rockin' as much as the rockin' sides C and D do.....

Genya Ravan. A thunderstorm voice. Brass orientated power rock.
As noted on inner fold cover: "Warning: not for easy listening".
By the way: is there any term "Hard listening"????

Once more this year has passed unbelievably quickly: so let's listen to track A2 Slim Gaillards "Sighing Boogie".
Guitar, vocals, piano, vibraphone, humor and gags all by Slim Gaillard, Los Angeles 1945.
Musidisc was a very trustworthy french label, but this one is not for HIFI gusto because the tracks were copied from 78rpm Shellacs.
But i ask you:
Does it always have to be in HIFI? Real life isn't/wasn't HIFI too. At least for me. At least partly until today........

Miles smiles while i am preparing the typical swiss Christmas evening dinner: Fondue Chinoise.
Miles smiles because of this curious Chinese-Switzerland connection.
Happy Christmas to everybody on this planet.
Happy Christmas also to Chinese people, though shurely most of them don't know about it.
But some of them know about smiling Miles.
US 1977 stereo reissue with superb dynamics: listen to the clear pacemaking hi-hat played by Tony Williams on track A3 "Footprints".
