Titanium Dome should review other L series

Given the huge success of Titanium Dome's thread on the 1990's L series (L1, L3, L5 & L7), I'd like to propose he do another series review, this time on my favorite JBL line, the L series from the 1980s. How about a review of the L20T, L60T, L80T and L100T?

    I'd vote for that!

(His thread has inspired me to search for a pair of L7. No luck yet, but I'm still looking)

no doubt many will cosign that vote, would like to see TD start as many series threads as possible, they're where I go most for information on speakers I aspire to own. The 90s L-Series thread inspired me to buy L5 and L7 in the span of 3 months after living with one pair of speakers (L100A) since 1975. The Studio L Series had me yea close to buying the 890s before going with the L5....

You should not need to look long for L7s? they're on ebay on a monthly basis, somewhere between $450 and $600, and IMO holding out over hundred bucks plus or minus, considering how incredible the L7s are, is silly if you plan to have them for any amount of time. As long as the set looks well taken care, to me is the most important factor so they can be resold if for some crazy reason you would want to sell them someday, which is improbable once you actually listen to them.

I was really hoping my post would spur Titanium Dome to action, and bring some well deserved attention to the L-series from the mid to late 1980s.

I love my L20T/L60T/L80T/L100T collection. Anyone else out there?

I have two pair of L60Ts, one pair of L80t3s and two pair of L100t3s in the house. They all sound great but the t3 variants are the real keepers, IMO. I also have a pair of L3s and will probably pick up a pair of L5s in the next couple of months. JBL made some very good consumer grade speakers in the 1980s and 1990s. I forgot to add the two pair of L20Ts.
