    066 tweeters for 4406?

I'm going to buy a pair of 4406s from a pawn shop, one of the tweeters

is blown...could get another 035, but what about 066 tweeters instead?

066 is a lot more rare than an 035 (they are all over the place) ...do it right. Keep the heritage correct...

035ti or 035tia should not be a big difference ....many are in the $30-50 range

The 066 was crossed at 3K in the L212, so it wouldn't hurt the tweeter, though sensitivity variation is always a concern in terms of balance when swapping drivers and not making any other system adjustments.

Plus, you'd need to buy two - you can't only replace one. And as Seawolf remarked they're rare (rare = expensive) as they were not in production for a long time.

    Guess the question is why?
