Hi,
What were the drivers used in this box, please? I've searched and looked at the master listing of tech sheets and cannot find this particular little monitor.

4301 - 116a. Le25-2
4301b - 116h. Le26

Thank you!
Easy way to identify the woofer variants in pictures? Like voice coil clocking?
I'm looking at these on-line and the seller is worthless as far as information is concerned. Probably a yard sale find for him.
One version preferable over the other?
Thanks again for all your help.

easy to tell woofer by looking at the magnet structure (and the stamped part # )
... no so easy when mounted.
Le25-2 vs Le26 is easier, Le26 having a hard/raised area around the tweeter
cone, where the Le25's have open cell foam (earlier models) or something that
looks/feels like neoprene (later models).
Foil cal on baffle should show 4301 or 4301B, as well as grill tag (if still present).
4301 (I think) was black-baffled, vs blue for the 4301B ... at least the walnut-finished
cabinet 4301B's were blue-faced.

there's a powered variant as well that has screw terminal inputs instead of spring
loaded push terminals (if I'm recalling correctly). 4301E/4301BE ... E for Energized.
My first JBL speaker, and I love 'em. I bought them used from a buddy back in 1982 or 1983.
I just the drivers off to Orange County to have them re-edged...116-A.
Good Luck...
I was wondering how close they were, tonally, to the L-26 since they look so similar. I have never listened to the L-26.
