Wiring Directions Please

To where you keep the "Technical Manuals"
The ones with specifications, an exploded view with part #s and even packaging and a wiring diagram.

I looked at JBL Consumer but no luck.

I'm searching specifically for the L96.

Well, it was apparently in production from 1981-83 - its over 25 years old!

I think the closest thing you can find is

Also: The solid green wire will always feed the "hot" or RED terminal on JBL woofers, correct? Assuming they were assembled properly in the first place.

I just wonder as it is my understanding that some of the voice coils behave differently from back in the '50s. Cone excursion to the the rear or toward the motor when a battery + was applied to the "hot" terminal briefly.

In "modern" JBL the solid green always the "hot".

Assuming they were assembled properly in the first place, my L96 have the solid green wire feeding the RED terminal on LE10H-1.

That is true.

However, fear not! Whenever checking the wiring inside cabinets, always put the solid color wire (usually GRN, but whatever) to the Red binding post on the transducer. Any stripped wires go to the Black binding post. JBL anticipated this question, and standardized their wiring. Nice...
