L15 Owners Please Step Inside....

I got confused here for a minute. When Brutal said "grilles" with smooth face I now understand he's referring to the logo "badge". My L112s, too, are original (yeah, I still have the hang tags. Why? I dont know!) and the badges do not have the raised edge or "frame", just the letters. But the posts are the same, which is really what this thread was about. Glad I finally figured out what you guys were talking about!

And you would be absolutely 100% correct in assuming that I was; 1. Too tired to be posting. 2. Not paying attention. LOL

Appears to have more to do with date of mfg than with the model. I have both badge types on my L-family here. My L15s are 29283-29284.

It's more weird than that.

4310 - raised edges
L166 - raised edges
L-112 - no edges
L-86 - no edges
L-15 - no edges
L80T - no, wait, ...raised edges! WTF? JBL musta gone retro on em.

OK - I just checked my L15's and the badges have no raised painted edges, plus, the post is about 3/32" dia x ~ 1/4" long and just pushes through the grille cloth, where it's held in place with a couple push-fit washers.

BTW - I have a mint pair of these logos, (minus the washers), available for $10 plus shipping from CA, (cheap!).
