Indeed it is. You thought the Zilchster made it for all of what, 5us, right?

Gotta have the baffle mounting bolt heads exposed for the magnetic grille to attach.

Also available in maple and cherry, and a less costly rectangular version....

    Uh-oh,

I think I may have found a new project. I have some LE14a's in 4.1cu.ft cabinets to supplement my e-145/511b/bms. I alway's thought it would be nice to have the sub's convertible into another set of speakers for variety. This looks so clean and easy.

    Hello Zilch

What drivers can you fit it there?? Looks kinda tight would any of the older ferrites fit like a 2426/2416 or is it Neo only??

It'd look nice sitting atop Citation 7.4, I betcha.

Twenty-five members have successfully completed EconoWave projects thus far over on AudioKarma using the JBL PT waveguide, and some of those are built with LE14As:

There's a crossbrace in there which may need to be cut, depending upon the depth of the assembly. Selenium D220Ti on the thread-on waveguide is ~1/16" shy of fitting, so I ground off a bit on the face of the brace in the center rather than removing it.

I don't believe driver diameter is an issue. I'll see if 2452H-SL fits; I believe it will. The curved cabinet tapers inside, but PT-F1010HF and PT-F95HF are relatively shallow. PT-F64HF may require the rectangular box.

Edit: They all fit using PT-F95HF with varying amounts of brace trimming. Diameter is not an issue. They'd also fit in the 0.5" narrower 0.38 cuft version of the PE cabs, but you'll need to work out the magnetic grille mounting issue.

[This one's playing right now w/Selenium + LE14H-3, so I'm not messing with it 'til after Speakerdave hears it today.... ]

I have two of the less costly rectangular 0.38 cu ft version that I use for my little Tannoy DC's. Nice finish. I might buy three more.
