I have been looking for a 604 for quite some time but came along a pair of 616-8A Duplex. Tried plugging it into a tube amp and the mids seems to be honking. I found out latter that these goes only up to 12KHz from the specifications somewhere. Is the honking caused by the the 12KHz? Is there a way to upgrade the horn and reach at least 20KHz like the 604? Do they have swapable parts?
