list your opinion of JBL drivers/horns

which driver/horn combinations are most euphonic? any opinions?
i am interested in 291-16 Altec drivers & JBL 2420 drivers.

If you are looking for the best sound, in terms of the 291's I would say dump the symbiotik diaphragms and go with aluminum (288) or if you need the power handling capacity go with pascalite (299) diaphragms.

Euphonic is defined as "characterized by euphony". Euphony is "agreeableness of sound; pleasing effect to the ear..."
I wound say the JBL 2420, though a 1" driver, is a better choice for these qualities in my experience. As a friend of mine keeps saying, "Application is the key"!
