JBL LX 55 crossover mod compatible with LX 155?

    Hello together,

first I'm looking for the LX 55 crossover modification - often heard about it but never seen!?

Then I wonder if this crossover modification will work with a pair of LX 155 (same as LX 55 with larger cabinet)?

    Thanks Frank

Very little interest here in the LX-55 at all. This is the only slightly related thread I could find:

". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

    Cool

The only mod for LX-55 I found on the inter-tubes was a fix for the "hot" tweeter.
I put 5 ohms in series with the tweeter and it calmed things down enough to make them spare bedroom system material.
I even used a variable resistor that can be accessed through the rear port in case I want to go back to the original tweeter level.

Now my spare bedroom has some XPL-140A's in it, and the LX's are in storage.

    Drive 'em to the Xmax!
