From hf- mids and Lf driver I hear tad -fostex-goto- ev -p audio. and we can not for get JBL or ALTEC. some day I want to build a two/three/or four way speaker system with the best sounding driver . now my pockets are not deep. what do u think is the best sounding drivers for your money. keep in mind I havent heard any of these other driver but jbl and ev thanks. I could be wrong but I dont think I will fine a LF driver better than jbl 2235h or 2245h.

I'm not clear that there is a 'best' speaker. Since designing speakers, like many other things, is a matter of making tradeoffs depending on a number of factors. Many of them have been discussed here.

The thing that is missing from our OP's post are those factors like, room size, efficiency, low frequency cutoff, maximum allowable box size, etc.

Once those are known then we can have a discussion on what driver(s) are most appropriate - but there will still be no concensus on what's 'best'.

    Cheers,

    David
