    M12 Expander Kit

I have a pair of 88 Plus. And there is a opening closed with a plate mentions " RESERVED - M12 Expander Kit, 5" midrange transducer."
My qustion is: if I found one of this 5" midrange and place it into this opening, do I still need to change my existing crossover ?

    M12 Expander

If you get the kit complete it will include a frequency dividing add-on with level control and a new foilcal.

i have an original L-100 crossover if you get the LE5-2 to go into the slot. The set up would be identical to an L-100 so i am assuming the L-100 crossover would be perfect for it.

    Caution! L100 lurking!

And here's the description. There are those on the forum who believe the 88 sounds better than the L100.
