Just curious, but what would be the difference with a vertical driver alignment.
I have never understood or agreed with JBL's prechant for off set drivers.

Not to take away from your gorgeous speaker project. I always thought that 4435's should be vertical not horizontal.

    Beautiful job and some questions

Hi. I am starting a similar project but I am missing some data. Can you help answer this, please?

1 each side of the cabinet is 5 cubic feet in NET volume, right? (The horn and it's bracing must take up extra volume. Is that compensated for to yield 5 cubic feet NET volume?)

    2. How much volume does each woofer and the horn take up?

    3. Is the horn in a separate cabinet or just braced? Some photos make it look like a separate enclosure.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Regards, Bo in Minneapolis

Yup. Great project and superb workmanship. I wonder if it would have been beneficial to integrate the horn between the two woofers for an improved pin-point source...

I think in that speaker only one woofer works to the horn. The second is brought in at 100Hz or so ( big yellow inductor?)
