Hi Grumpy,
Know this thread is old but in my case I'm close to try this horn out. One thing makes me wonder. In this fine white paper for kbl2360a vs jbl2360b is several curves shown.
Do somebody know if some of these curves/plots is done with a kind of "clever" EQ of the horn?
On page 2 a frequency response is shown but this plot do not reflect the plots on page 5 in which the freqency response is more "flat". Someone who know's the details here??
I will use the horn from 350Hz (-6dB LR 12dB) to 4kHz, with only coils and condensatores so I'm not able to give EQ..

Page 2 plots are the frequency response plots without EQ.
Passive crossover examples exist to re-contour the 2360 horn
(e.g. 3160). You'll want to be careful going down to 350Hz
unless a phenolic diaphragm compression driver is used.
Yes I know :-)
But I intend to use LR12dB and @350Hz the signal is already 6dB down. Compared to a 12dB butt @ 500Hz as recommanded the level is down 7,7dB @ 350Hz so I dont think I will run into trouble when using this in my living room. The biggest issue is if there is any output as low as 350Hz. To me the plot at page 2 seems to have a kind of filtering below 800Hz.... or?
