    2242h good for sub diy?

Would I be able to build a sealed diy sub capable of response down to 15 Hz using this 18" driver?

Do a search on 2242 and you will find a lot.

The 2242 would not be my first choice if response to 15Hz is of paramount concern... the 2242 is capable of producing thunderous output, but it wasn't designed for extremely low frequency output.

BagEnd audio make some specalised subs for infrasonic bass as do Whise Audio. There have been a few diy attempts at that type of sub over the years.

Steve Schell apparently has a bass horn that gets down into that region. There maybe an opportunity for me to report on that in September if I survive the demonstration.
