This was the Culver theater in Culver City. Anyone know what cabinets these were.

ive seen those around in many places and they always have been altec loaded.theres a theater downtown that we worked in that had a pair of those cabs laying around, and i belive them to be a vott variation of some kind.i wonder if these things were built locally from a kit or factory plan as they are huge and the drivers etc shipped separately

At first I thought they were the model 800 cabinets but those use a single woofer.

    I wonder if they're Simplexes.

Simplex had speakers made by Altec. They had both names on them
Simplex and Altec Voice of the theater.

It's a variation on a theme. Who better than Simplex to fit multi channel speakers systems behind the screen.
