    Thank you, evryone.

My history with JBL started with a pair of LE8T in DIY boxes when the price of a LE8T was almost same as one month rent of 2 bedroom apartment. I had a dream of building a better system then and gathered a lot of information on JBL system. But I got too busy on raising family, building business etc. I could not improve anything beyond LE8T until recently.

I have been browsing this forum for 3 month before my first post. This forum reminded me a lot of information I almost forgot and more. Thank you.

I am sure these are old speakers but they sound better than most of modern day's speakers.

    Cheers.

    1977 L-300 Summit Loud speakers

    Meridian 508.24 CD Player

    Mark Levinson 380 Preamp

    Nakamichi ST-7 Tuner

    Nakamichi PA-7 Power Amp

Vampire CCC RCA for amp & tuner

    Cobalt Ultimate Speaker cable

Unbelievable sound stage and detail with this setup!................................

** I got hooked back in 1977 when a friend of mine owed me some money and offered brand new L100's as a form of payment. Needless to say I still have them and they still look like new. (outside of the blue foam grill inserts that went south 15 or so years ago.) After that I was a JBL fan for life. **

Enjoy what you want; there's no need to start making value statements.

    jblfreeek's gear

Here are my systems for all JBL/Technics afficionados out there in the world.

I will try to write them in detail as these babies mark almost the end of the road for me.
I never found myself audiophile simply because I listen to music not sound.
Although these JBL/Technics combo could have made me a systemphile.

The living room... kinda large (60m2)

Technics SE-A3mk2 Stereo DC Power Amplifier
Technics SU-A4mk2 Stereo DC Control Amplifier
    Sony CDP-X707ES CD player
    Technics ST-G7 Tuner
    JBL 250Ti Jubilee Speakers
Van den Hul Revolution Hybrid Speaker Cable in Bi-Wire configuration.
WBT-0644 Banana Plugs 8x bananas for Bi-Wire cable.
Van Den Hul Thunderline Hybrid Interconnects
Furutech FI-E11(G) Power Connector for SE-A3mk2
Usher Audio 6 shelf solid Birch Rack Audio Component Rack
TERK AF-1 "Q" Amplified Stereo Antenna AM/FM Radio Antenna
    Belkin SurgeMaster Surge Protector

    My room...where i spend most my time. (~ 20m2).

Technics SE-A5mk2 Stereo DC Power Amplifier
Technics SU-A4mk2 Stereo DC Control Amplifier
    Sony CDP-X777ES CD player
    JBL Century Gold Speakers
    Stereo-Link External DAC
Monster USB Ultimate Performance USB cable for DAC
    Flatfeet Sorbothane supports (for DAC)
    Technics SH-8075 Stereo Graphic Equalizer
Van Den Hul Thunderline Hybrid Interconnects
Oehlbach Rattle Snake 6 Speaker Cable
Auralex MoPAD Speaker isolation pads (awesome result...try it)
Belkin SurgeMaster Gold Series Surge Protector
Furutech RD-1 CD/DVD Degausser CD Degausser (more than 1500 original CDs deserve this maniacal move imho )

Portable System to listen to lossless FLACs:
Rio Karma Digital Audio Player (still one of the best DAP's ever manufactured imho, maybe the best)
Sony MDR-CD3000 Headphones (employing same "Bio-cellulose" natural fiber diaphragm material made by bacteria called Acetobacter like its ultra-expensive brother Sony MDR-R10)

Stereo-Link DAC may be replaced by Benchmark DAC1 USB simply because of its jitter handling ability thanks to the UltraLock clocking system.

I also wish to get a flat response from my system in my room (at least try) by using my Technics SH-8000 Audio Frequency Analyzer and the 8075 equalizer since I hate the looks of acoustic materials.

Finally my desktop system... (hooked to my computer)

Technics SA-007 Mini system (with optional SH-007E Equalizer)
    Technics SB-M01 Speakers
    Sony D-555 Portable CD Player
Synergistic Research Decor Series Speaker Cable
Monster Interlink 400 MkII Computer Audio Cable
Terk FM+ Stereo Antenna FM Radio Antenna
Flatfeet Sorbothane supports (for Sony D-555)

    Cute isn't it?...

As you see above I found "my sound" in the match of vintage Technics SE series gear combined with highest quality JBL speakers.
They are feast to my ears (and to my eyes, I'm simply in love with the aesthetics of those gigantic VU-Meters).

If I would like to try something different, I may change my room system with Luxman M-05/C-05 coupled with Yamaha NS-2000 speakers after i'm firmly convinced that they are indeed a better combination in sound terms.
Same thought goes with Sony MDR-R10 too...

Please feel free to write your comments and suggestions.

    Greetings from Istanbul, Turkey.
